What's on my mind at the moment...

Sometimes it's great to just scrapbook about the things on your mind. I know for me personally, my scrapbooks sort of end up as a combination of memory keeping and a personal journal.

This past weekend, we celebrated a holiday here in the states... this year especially the true meaning of that holiday weighed heavier on me than previously. Maybe it's because of everything going on in the world today. Maybe it's because I've made a few friends this year that have connections to the armed forces...
I so appreciate the sacrifice that both they and their families make in order to make this life and freedom that we have here possible. I used the fun and festive kismet line of papers, glitzers, and cardstock titles to make this. I also layered the date stamp underneath.

We're also in the final throes of the school year. And yes, I believe that's a perfect way to describe it. Every day is difficult, and everyone is counting the days until summer. Instead of dwelling on that particular fact, I let my mind wander to the memorable moments I've had with our youngest son in the recent couple of months. He really wants to be like his big brother in some ways {yes, they're big rivals, but also love to do their own thing...} and at the moment that involves a lot of schoolwork. Even though he's only three, I've been amazed at how he's really picking everything up so quickly! I love experiencing that hunger for learning at this age...

I actually combined a few things from the vintage love line with some things from the kismet line, and we surprised at how well they worked together!

A few detail shots...

So, what's on your mind? Have you scrapped about it?
