scrapbooking a few new christmas memories

I've finally had a few free moments to scrapbook some of the fun that we shared over the holidays. We've got lots of plans for tonight to ring in the new year as well, but I wanted to share this fun layout that I created for Maya Road this month.

For more details on the page and the Maya Road supplies, check out the post on their blog.

trendy for christmas

As much as I love a traditional look, I also adore being able to be just a bit trendy for the holidays. It was super fun to use the 5th & Frolic line to make these ornaments for this year!

a burst of christmas cheer

One of my GIS assignments for this month was to use "bursts" on a layout! Not a problem... I use them all the time. I guess it's the more modern/graphic side of me that loves the look.

I stumbled onto this photo while I was browsing around for ideas on my drive. I really love how it captures the joy that the boys have over the holiday. I can see the oldest trying NOT to giggle, and it's just too cute! Pop in and check out what Debbie has to say about using bursts, and see what the other girls have done!

Happy Monday!

a little bit of IKEA...

I recently added a little expedit case to our dining nook to house all of my fabrics, and it's made a HUGE difference in how functional my space is. Whew!. Ever do something like that?! And then wonderwhy you waited so long in the first place? Yeah, that was me... I loved tying in the sentiment "a home is built with love and dreams" to "but a little bit of IKEA never hurts..." LOL

scrapbooking with whitespace

I love, love using whitespace on so many of my projects! Debbie points out four great reasons to use this method on your pages in her blog post here

My parent sent me bunches of photos this past autumn, and I had some serious envy... ^_^

glam for the holiday

I found this sequin top at Target and after passing it by on a few trips, I purchased it - I'm not usually a sequin girl, but the matte finish on these captured my heart. lol
