All things Amy Butler

I really {heart} Amy Butler's stuff. I could actually credit her with getting me back into sewing. I hadn't really done anything since my wedding dress, until I came across her wonderful, hip, modern patterns. It's even led me to discover a bunch of other manufacturers and designers. Such fun patterns, too.

Coming back to why I'm on the subject... I ordered some more fabric today from purlsoho! (That site alone is inspiring!Gotta love the rainbow hues all throughout.)I'm getting ready to set up an Etsy Shop and have some fun, cute projects planned. :) Of course I'll post a link here when everything's up.

Her paper products are amazing too. They've been great luck for me. I've put together 3 layouts using her products and one of them won 3rd place the Simple Scrapbooks CKC contest (my 1st contest!), another won honorable mention in the Scrapbook.com Lucky 7 contest, and finally, the last one was picked up by Memory Maker's magazine for their Oh Baby publication! (my first pub!) Super exciting!

Speaking of all those contests and such, I've been taking a little break from submitting for things. Getting David settled into kindergarten. :)

We've also been sick around here for about a week and I'm looking foward to things getting back to normal. The first few days of not running everywhere were kind of nice for a change, but I think Mommy's ready to get out of the house! I definitely have a stop planned for my local scrappin' store on the list tomorrrow, if the little one's up for it! I know they've gotten this paper line in from American Crafts, and I'm seriously looking forward to trying some of those yummy papers! It's very hip to the current runway trends. That should be super fun!

Well, I guess I had a lot to write today! I'll leave with my very first... drumroll please... birthday layout! {HeeHee} Those metal embellies I used were from a wild and wonderful swap I participated in. Not something I'd pick myself, but I thought they went along rather nicely, even though I know they've been around for a while.
