Birthday season in the House

Okay, so you'll have to forgive all of the birthday banter in the coming weeks. It's just that time of year around here. Literally. We have a birthday/anniversary almost every week from now 'til the end of July, so while I construct amazing {well, maybe not *that* amazing} towers of confection, we all sit back and pray that we don't gain 10 pounds!

Last year we added our newest member:

{Even though she definitely not so little anymore!} So, this was the first year I wasn't creating something with a more "boy" theme. It was sort of relaxing to spend some time working with my hands...

I found this fabulous recipe for carrot cake - where else? I always find whatever I need there - and the recipes always work. :D I have to say, this is really moist, and just plain yummy. {I did double the recipe so I had enough for the larger sheets. ;) I also used the matching cream cheese icing...


Haven't done a whole lot of scrapping, but I did put this one together with my kit...

I was practically running circles when we finished school on Friday!! WhooHoo!! {Yes, I did catch the last hour of the Simpson movie this evening... HeeHee!} I'm so glad to be able to put more focus on some of the things I have going on. I feel like I'll be able to catch up, even out, whatever you want to call it - but, maybe that's not realistic either. Are we ever "caught up" as mothers? Ha!

Am finally getting thing set up for us to play this summer - swim stuffs, searching for a tent so we can take the boys camping, lots of fun stuff in the works. Now... if it would just stop raining! Bwahahaha!
