autumn's approach with Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker

With the start of school on Monday, Autumn is bearing down on us quickly! Our weather doesn't change much around here, but it definitely feels like fall with the return to the school routine. :)

Last year, we took a little trip to my home state during the autumn season, and I so enjoyed seeing the changing colors and landscape - so I made sure to take plenty of pictures! It was the boys' first time seeing those changes as well, so we had lots to document...

I broke out the mists for this one again. :) I used burnt red and sunflower to mask and splatter my background papers. Then, I took the white cardstock leaves I had cut out and sprayed them with more of the burnt red glimmermist to give them a heavier color.

Of course I stitched with my sewing machine... and added some extra texture to the woodgrain by running it through my cuttlebug.

And just a quick little card to send to a friend.

More texture:

Happy weekend! Hope you're enjoying a creative one!!
