welcome to the American Crafts/Scor-pal blog hop!

We're sharing some fun to celebrate the Luck o' the Irish today! I'm sharing a layout I created using both the American Crafts Knockout Punches, and the Scor-pal! I'll also offer up a little diy so that you can do it yourself, if you'd like! Here's my project:
{Supply list: Warm Memories Paper (35633) - Neapolitan, Heart Song Paper (35361) - Neapolitan, At First Sight Paper (35641) - Neapolitan, White Serendipity (53291) - Thickers, Wood buttons and Epoxy Accents (78073) - Embellishments, Fabric and Epoxy Brads (78074) - Embellishments, Printed Variety Tags (78069) - Embellishments, Printed Chipboard Shapes (78070) - Embellishments, Accents and Phrases (42232) - Remarks Books, Parakeet Letter Stickers (42234) - Remarks, Borders, Accents and Phrases (42235) - Remarks, Pinwheels (78071) - Embellishments, Mini Fair Ribbons (78066) - Embellishments, 6x6 Paper Pad (35658) - Neapolitan, 12x12 Charcoal Cardstock (71077) - AC Cardstock, 12x12 ?White Cardstock (71081) - AC Cardstock, Knock Outs Punches (63013) - Tools}

DIY - To create the largest accordion flower, you'll need:
3- strips of patterned paper cut 4"x12", it'll take a whole sheet
zig zag edge knock out punch
glue of your choice, or narrow red tape
Scor-pal
A circle to mount/glue the accordion to

Punch one edge of the paper strips:
Score at the bottom of the points, or in between the ridges along the entire piece

Accordion fold:

Apply a strip of red tape along the left hand edge of each piece. Connect all of the pieces together.

Connect the final piece back to the first piece, to form a cylinder, making sure that the points are facing down.

Lay the piece flat
Apply a TON of glue to the circle:
Lay the folded piece over, and press in the center:
To create the other pieces, just use 2.5" strips instead of 4" ones! I also punched the edges with different punches. All set!

And finally, I'm giving away a small "kit" filled with items to create this fabulous Amy Tan Daybook! Everything is here and ready to ship to the lucky winner! Just leave a comment on this post  before Midnight EST on Friday, March 23, and I'll choose a winner by random number generator to announce on Saturday!

Your next stop on the hop is Diane Zechman! I can't wait to see what everyone has made!! Good luck!!

How awesome! Who says you need a die for making these awesome embellishments, all you need is a scor pal! :O) I've see die's that sell for $20 or more and it's one size, and look at what you did with scor-pal...and how many more things you can do with it! Hugs! Leah Ann
