One Little Word class winner and some Nikki Sivils gingerbread land

Wanted to share my last projects for Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker today! I'm so thankful for my spot on that team - Nikki was one of the first companies to take a chance on me as a creative designer just over 1-1/2 years ago! SO much has happened since that time, but getting those first spots as a designer gave me the foundation I needed to accomplish many of the things that I have! ^_^ Nikki and her team have been fabulous to work with!

All of these projects use the super fun Gingerbread Land collection:

And I popped in to random.org to grab a winner for the Ali Edwards One Little Word 2012 class giveaway! It gave me this one:
 Anne said...

Oh how cool. Thanks for the opportunity.

Congrats!! Shoot me an email at chicscrapper at gmail dot com and I'll send you the coupon code to give you a free checkout to activate the class! It starts next week! I've chosen a word for myself for several years now, and it's a great opportunity for growth throughout the year!

silly boys and a couple of thanksgiving cards

I so have to laugh every time I look at this photo! I pulled the boys together for a little photoshoot of them over the summer {to send a framed photo of them to their grandma for her birthday}, and when I asked them to "high-five" thinking it would make an awesome photo - this is what I got! Them holding hand almost like dance partners! Pretty soon we were all trying not to roll on the ground with the laughter that the situation produced...

I put this layout together with goodies from the Nikki Sivils You're a Hoot paper line, and a few random things from the Lil' Monster line.

And a couple of cards to celebrate the holiday this week:

{I used the paper dolls cricut cart to make the tree and leaves, and the brackets are all cut from the storybook cart.}

growing big and strong

Just sharing a quick page that I did for Nikki Sivils this month! And... both of our boys have pretty yucky colds today, so I've been back and forth just trying to keep them feeling better.

Hope your Monday's better than mine! lol

fresh supplies

I always love this part of getting ready for school. Stacks of notebooks, pencils and fresh crayons!

This was our first day of school last year - 3rd grade. Wow.
We'll be starting this year soon as well!! The summer just flew by, didn't it?

final projects from Nikki Sivils cha releases!

Wrapping up the week of the big, big trade show for crafting and hobbies - everyone has/is headed home - sounds like everything was lovely!

Here are my final projects featuring Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker's brand new lines:
I've been on a bit of a journey this year healthwise. I felt pretty yucky for most of it. I'm finally feeling better and looking forward to the second half of the year! This layout features Nikki's new release, Get Well Soon.
This is a fun one! Featuring a recent upcycle project I started! ^_^ Features Nikki's line: You're a Hoot.

And finally, this layout featuring the guys trimming our Christmas tree last year! That I used the Gingerbread Lane line for! So fun - and there's more journaling on the pull card on top...

And yes, I've got a confession. Not sure why, but... maybe it has to do with all the health yuckies I've been dealing with... I had sort of struggled with my papercrafting in the last few months. But the last few weeks? I've fallen back in love. It's such a good feeling. I've done a lot of projects - and enjoyed every moment of it! Some I've shared, others, not yet! I'm not sure I can explain the sense of renewal I've felt the last few weeks - letting some things go, re-doubling efforts for others - I feel lighter, happier, more inspired.

And yes - one last thing if you're still with me! I have a thickers project up on the American Crafts blog today! ^_^ Have a wonderful weekend!

bookworm

Is it silly for me to say that I love the fact that our oldest has become a bit of a bookworm? He's pretty typically more of a sports guy, so I love that he's also picking up one of my loves - reading. I can't tell you how many times I've walked in to check up on the boys and this is the sight that greets me!
A lot of my free time in the last week has been spent working on projects for the upcoming CHA show - so I'm glad I can start sharing them all!! Nikki has said that she'd like us to go ahead with her's, since she posted all of her upcoming lines here.

CHA summer goodies from Nikki Sivils

Just popping in quickly to share a layout I made with Nikki Sivils brand new goodies for the upcoming Summer CHA show!

This was made using her new My Lil' Monster collection:
We're going through a bit of a rough spot right now with the little guy. Like, he's growing up and learning to let go of mom and dad a bit - and then we turn around and he's acting childish {like throwing tantrums? Hello?! Where did that come from?} I know it's his way of trying to work through the emotions of becoming more independent and feeling out of control at the same time, so we're riding it out. {Not without punishment of course. Sigh.}

Pop over to Nikki's blog to see ALL of her upcoming collections, and enter for a chance to win them!! ^_^

scrapbooking summer

Just a quick post to share a few projects that I put together for the Nikki Sivils, Helmar cross promo! They very generously sent us a bunch of their adhesives to play with, and these are a few layouts I put together with them!

This is the one I shared a peek of the other day...
Shots from fun at the sprinkler park that's a few blocks away. The boys love it... we need to head back as soon as all of these storms clear out!

Silly photos from our trip to the Seaquarium in April. Of course everyone had to have icees to cool off!

And my jam making adventures from a few weeks ago:
It turned out so yummy. We've enjoyed lots of bread buttered with Earth's Balance Butter {a great all-natural alternative to butter that even my guys enjoy!}and some of this jam. And we had it on oatmeal this morning. Mine also had a wee bit of coconut milk with it:
Oh so good!

Can you believe it's that time of year again?!! I think I'm in denial. I've been so super busy on several fronts that the time has just been a blur. Anyway - yes! It really is time for product peeks for the upcoming Summer 2011 CHA! ACK!

So far, love, love what I'm seeing from Nikki Sivils! Her stuff just keeps getting better...You can check out the full line of "school is cool" on her blog now!

Here's a little peek:

She has added collection kits, punch-outs, 6 different alpha stickers on one sheet of stickers as well as a sheet of stickers that are all just elements that coordinate with the collection! I personally love all of the patterns that she's added... For a closer look at this line and a little peek at her Lil' Monster line as well - stop by her blog!

Welcome to the Nikki Sivil's Elmer's Glue Craft and Tell blog posting!
I loved working with the products that they sent - it's always great to be able to try different types of adhesives, and see how you feel about them! They also sent great stuff from Exacto! I love, loved using the scissors {I think my old fiskars just got trumped}, and the fun pink mat they sent as well! This was me curled up on the floor crafting in front of the tv the other night until my eye lids were just toooo heavy:

And this is what I ended up with. I took some fun photos when we were at the pool a couple of weeks ago...
