Hustle & Bustle...

Yep! It's caught up with me! I'm running like a mad woman to try to keep up with everything at the moment! Loving everything we have going for the holidays, but it's been a bit much this year. Definitely due to spending over a month sick. :P

First up, my layouts with the December kit at the Paper Niche:

Still hanging with the daily photos:

Daily December 3

Dipping pretzels with the little guy this afternoon. :)
And a few recent digi layouts. :) I just had to journal about our love of sweet winter treats with Miss Tiina's newest kit, OMG It's Cold! {Too cute...}
And I'm in love with this shot that I set up for my mom to take of hubby and I. <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWUvx7VNZxJ1tY2I3-fXyyyW_FapSkh3RKuky7Z74zF-UN1HVr3ub23cza5h0kwaC89WeXLjVcc5q0SWOvlLl7OCjxhrq5M3-xa1VjvRVNZqhhp5_56erMyLq6RyYOArJCJf-e3txBfCs/s1600-h/you_600.jpg">Using the Elegance kit from KaiserCraft digital.

I put together a fun tutorial for Kaisercraft on how to create the custom shadows that I use in a lot of my layouts - you can check it out here. :)

A day at the beach with the boys in the winter. {Too cool for the water, so we usually toss around the football and fly kites.}

Using the Flutterby digital kit from KaiserCraft.

And I've been working on some fun, fun Christmas things that I should be able to share soon!!

Yay! Tomorrow's Friday!Hope everyone's having a great week!

Ugh. And sooo fall-y

First for the Ugh. I'm sick. Yucky sick. Finally hit the Dr.'s office yesterday, and got some antibiotics. And a host of other things as well. lol Slowly feeling better...

Vacation with my family was great. I took some really great pictures that I'll have to share one of these days soon...
But enough about me - I loved working with the latest kit this month from the Paper Niche
6x6 card:
The rest are 12x12 layouts. :)

Can't forget my first layout for Kaisercraft digital! {A lot's been happening around here...}

A spooky house, and hyper for halloween :P

We found the cutest little kit for a haunted gingerbread house at Target a few weeks ago, and we put it together the other night!
{Notice the pajamas, as we've sort of been under the weather here this week. :P}
Looks like a lovely little house from the front - then... someone egged it with candy corn! Bwahahahaha! My husband's comment: "Well, it is Halloween..."
We've had much racing up and down around here today. The boys decided to pull out old costumes and try them on. On the whole, they've been hyper for Halloween.
And, um, we are giving them candy on top of this? I'm gonna need some sugar myself to deal with all this.
This afternoon, we're heading out to look for a couple of new costumes. A bit behind our usual schedule for some reason this year. I think it's b/c the boys just couldn't decide what they wanted to be.

Oh, and can't forget - a cute little kit from Miss Tiina! This is an older photo, but I thought it was perfect for this kit! lol
Well, off to handle the natives... Enjoy your weekend! I'm looking forward to a few hours hanging out with some friends and scrapping tonight! Woot!

Oh, how fun...

The lovely Miss Tiina has asked me to join her CT! :)

Here are a cuple of layouts with her two most recent kits...

Am I allowed to say that I'm in love with this blue brick? It has the perfect amount of grunge and texture...

And there's just something about the depth of this background paper that drew me to it. {sigh} it's perfect...

In other news, stay tuned for the April kit release from The Paper Niche!! It should be available this weekend - I'll be posting a couple of layouts tomorrow...

Is it really Thursday already?

Oh, and can't forget to mention, I've moved on to round 2 of the Capture the Flag challenge at FPD! Yay, me! It's been a dream of mine to design...we'll see what happens!! :)

Hello Wednesday, and all that...

Is is really Wednesday already? Hello?! Didn't the week just start? Tuesday was one of those disjointed, I-can't-seem-to-get-anything-to-flow days. Huh. My scrap space is absolutely a mess. Probably why I spent the night digi scrapping. (eye roll)It gives me the opportunity to avoid the mess for a few more hours. I have to finish my class kits for tonight's class later today, though, so it will be addressed. My to-do list seems rather long at the moment, with nothing pressing, so what do I do? Putter {that's my mother's word - where did that come from?!} around putting something together just for me. No assignments, no deadlines. {sigh} Yes, it's good. Then, took the boys to the park to wear them out hardcore.

Looking at the mess of my scrap space has got me thinking it may be time for a little RAK or something. Hmm. I'll have to think on that.

Anyway, here's what I've been up to!

paper goodness. Isn't he such a cutie?

week 3 for my project 365. Yes, I know. Way behind. It's called. I'm not stressing it.

Oh, and this one is totally inspired by one of my artsy heroes: Dorothy Draper. Ever since I went to the museum exhibit of her stuff, I've totally found it fascinating. :D

Other pressing projects -
5 gallons of paint are calling my name. Yes, it's work, but the freshness will be worth it. I'll share the yummy colors when they're up! Oops! What am I doing sharing this? Who know when that'll get done?!
3 loads of laundry waiting to be folded {hey, the other 5 were washed, dried, folded and put away today...} How do we get so much laundry?

Soccer mom? And some diginess...

We started soccer a couple of weeks ago, but this is the first week that mommy made it - the little guy was under the weather last week, and we just didn't want him out in the cool air... the week before I had a class to teach. ;)

I was definitely proud of how well he's taking to the sport. He started playing in the backyard about 3 months ago, and has taken to it with natural flair.

{I had some fun with the new photography overlays from Corina.}
And I spent some time catching up on some digi layouts last week. {Can you believe I did all of these in one evening?}
With the February colab:

{well, the chipboard alpha is from Val's Bella kit. I love it so much, I wish I could find something like it in traditional scrapping goodies. :)}

He's really liking the piano... I loved these shots of him concentrating so hard. HeeHee. {With Val's Edward kit.}

Finally got to Week 2 of my project 365. I've been keeping the photos organized and uploaded to flickr, but haven't been really good about getting the layouts together. I'm really not that worried about it though. I decided to go with an 8.5x11 format, so that I can do them as digi, hybrid or traditional layouts. This one is using Valorie's Project 365 templates and Alice kit.

With Valorie's Emmett kit.
Last, but not least, I really am loving Dianne's new kit over at Scrapartist. This is actually hybrid. It's got a few traditional goodies on there...

This week I'll be working on more traditional stuffs - hopefully I'll have time to post again! LOL.

Have a great Monday!

Loving orange right now...

Have you ever noticed yourself go through color phases?! I definitely do... I've been loving orange for a couple of months at least - I'm so glad there are a lot of new products out this year featuring this yummy color... {hence the blog re-decorate...}

Anyway, though it may be hard to believe, I've been pretty uninspired since Christmas. Haven't been scrapping much - just a few, here and there. Mostly to fulfill requirements for teams and such. Well, I seem to have finally had a breakthrough last night! Yay! I have not been stressing over this - it always seems to come and go, and come back again - it's just nice when it's back! lol

Two layouts with new digi stuffs at The Playground today:

I actually scrapped a quite a bit last night. Stayed up too late, in fact! Ah well - it was worth it...

Now I must go do some housework, and take care of everything around here... things are a little out of sorts since we've been doing a unit study this week - that means lots of hands on for mommy, and less time for housework and um, showers? Not that it's not getting done, we've just had to re-arrange our schedules a little. ;)

I'll have some exciting new to share in the next few days!! We've re-worked the idea of a kit for The Paper Niche, and guess who's choosing the kit items? :D Look for sneaky peeks of our February kit soon! {Think edgy, trendy, yummy...

February Classes at the Paper Niche, reminiscing about our wedding, and my circle journal

The 3 layout class:

You can get details there. I love the love letter layout - as you can see, it actually includes a little card on the back that you can write on, and leave you special someone a note! :)

My January circle journal:

Enjoy Nicole!

February desktop I put together for FPD

You can grab it here
And yes, I really do love that color combo - Our anniversary is in February, and guess what colors I chose for the wedding? My dress was white satin with black buttons and trim on the bottom, and I carried a nosegay of brilliant red roses wrapped in satin. All accented with silver and diamonds... my bridesmaids even wore black. {Yes, it was an evening wedding.} Ahh. {sigh} memories. And yes, I still get butterflies when I think of him. You know I was in nursing school when we first started dating, and someone was checking my heartbeat with a doppler - someone said his name, and everyone heard my heart skip a beat? A tiny bit embarrassing, but strong evidence of how I feel...

And one more class for February:

Most of these are finished on the inside as well! I loved working with this new stuff from Little Yellow Bicycle...

Enjoying being at my target weight for the moment. Maybe the way I feel will help me keep it up? Then again, that 1 pound bag of peanut butter m&m's I downed in 2 days time can't possibly help the prospect of actually *staying* here. {Not to mention the 2 slices of pizza, and bits of the little guy's BK dinner last night! HA!} Oh well, it's good while it lasts, right?

We {meaning myself and the E man} hung out last night - he was pretty peeved that dad and big brother left him behind {they were at the Heat game}, so I took him, where else? The mall!! Even though I'm not really a big shopper, and nothing I've seen lately has impressed me, he had a great little time riding the kiddie ride, checking out the fish tanks, wandering the Disney store, and staring wide-eyed at the Build a Bear displays.

We topped it off with a kids meal, and he was happy. ;D

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
