new goodies in the digishop!

I had so much fun putting these little calendar templates together! {and I have several people on our family Christmas list that will be getting them for Christmas! {keep your eyes open - I'll be posting my desk calendar diy soon!}

in the mean time, check out the templates that I'll be using to create it! ^_^

Find the "modern calendar" in my shop here.

I liked them so much, I actually put together two different styles. lol

Here I added a few more "generic" holiday type photos.
You can find the type style calendar templates here.

They're 20% off right now, so grab them while they're on sale!

Setting Goals for the New Year...

Happy Monday. :P The holidays are over and we're back to the grind. I'm attempting to clear the fog from our son's head and get our lovely home back in running order!

I do have a fun project to share to brighten up the day, though!

I had such a great time putting this hybrid project together... I started documenting my goals for the year this way a few years ago - and it seems to help me to have this little reminder sitting somewhere close throughout the year...

This year, I created my own mini album using corrugated cardboard {an easy find, and good way to recycle!}

All the supplies are included the January Hybrid Kit that I put together for FPD! {I so loved working with the goodies from Sassafras Lass and Cosmo Cricket!

As a bonus, I've included instructions and pre-made printable pages for you to create the book! You don't have to make this a goal journal - it can be anything you'd like it to be...

Good luck on getting back to the routine for the new year!

Week 3 Capture the Flag!

What fun this became as it took shape! I had a difficult time getting started - since I usually start with a concept or idea for a kit, and work my way through to things that coordinate with papers and such. It felt a little like working backwards. lol I am really happy with the results - just wish it hadn't taken the mojo so long to kick in! I guess we'll see if I make it to the final round! :D

Here's the download link: zoom

Also posted this hybrid layout to the SBG blog! It was so much fun to scrap these pics... and you can get a few more details about what's digital and what's traditional supplies. :)

I'm starting to feel like a weight is off! Whew! It seems I've been pulled in a million directions lately, but things are finally slowing down, and it feels good. I've had a few layouts on my mind. stories I'd like to tell, but just don't fit with stuff I've needed to do for assignments, so after today, I should be free to do more personal stuff! Yay!! Hope everyone's having a good week! :)

In Honor of all the Frenzy

...that's going down this weekend over the Twilight DVD release:

... this is my circle journal this month for Lisa. It's supposed to be about our favorite book. I had to decide between this and Jane Eyre. In the end, this one won out - for now. ;)

I love, love, love these two kits {alice & obsession} from Valorie Brown. It's my all time fave color scheme {yes, our bridesmaid's wore black and carried red roses...long before Twilight existed...} :D

Oh, and if you Twitter, I've finally joined! You can grab my Twitter updates over on the sidebar! :)

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Quick Little Post

I just had to mention that this little beauty was a lot easier to put together than I thought it looked... that darn box template freaked me out when I saw it, but I agreed to give it a shot, and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was! You can get the rest of the supply list here! :D

Note to self:

You are not in the shape you were when you were working out 3x's a week...
I hit the gym last night, as per my determination to get back at least once a week, and ahhh... let's just say, maybe I pushed it a little too hard! lol. I did what would have been a typical workout back in the day - you know, 3 miles, jogging/power-walking in 45 minutes... Whew! It was good for me, though - so it will continue. ;)

Happy St. Patrick's day! I made a hybrid card for my hubby using this kit from Valorie at FPD. :)It was a little funny when I gave it to him - HeeHee... he really liked it, but wasn't really familiar with all the expressions/traditions of the holiday, so it took a little explaining...

My hybrid layout for my Mix It Up post this month over at SBG:

I really love how this one came out... really, really like the new Sassafrass line. I think it's the first time in a really long time that I picked up more than one sheet of each of the papers!

In other news, the little one has, um, you guessed it! Been hit with the yucky cold that I had last week! At least when I've got it, only one of us suffers. {eye roll} He's making sure to share his misery with all of us - of course, we are the picture of patience and understanding. {sigh} Can't wait 'til he's feeling better!

Enjoy your day!

Catching up...

Well, I slowed down a little because of my cold, but life didn't wait for me... deadlines still awaited, laundry piled up, schoolwork needed to be taught, fire alarms were tested {eye roll - yes, we spent the entire day out on Friday...school on the road and everything} So, I'm here - but a little bit tired tonight! Oh well! At least the cold is finally done. :D
Here are a few things I worked on this week!

{For a garden ATC swap I'm in...}
A box for Kelleigh {she's a guest at FPD this month...}:

Projects for ACBailey:

Stay tuned for peeks at the upcoming March kit from the Paper Niche!! :)

I heart... and my little layout...

Caught this little one this morning...

As per Kelleigh's request. My little scrap space. It's in our main greatroom, so I get to work and have the boys close, or hang out and chat with hubby in the evening. Works for me!

A hybrid layout I put together last week about our trip to the beach!

Detail shots:

I mounted the title on foam dots... Lots of textures in this - the flocking on the flower, the puffy letters, and the tiny felt flower. The colors are just yummy, too.

Oh, the digital portion is put together using Corina's Sunshiny Day Paper Pack and Element Pack

Soccer mom? And some diginess...

We started soccer a couple of weeks ago, but this is the first week that mommy made it - the little guy was under the weather last week, and we just didn't want him out in the cool air... the week before I had a class to teach. ;)

I was definitely proud of how well he's taking to the sport. He started playing in the backyard about 3 months ago, and has taken to it with natural flair.

{I had some fun with the new photography overlays from Corina.}
And I spent some time catching up on some digi layouts last week. {Can you believe I did all of these in one evening?}
With the February colab:

{well, the chipboard alpha is from Val's Bella kit. I love it so much, I wish I could find something like it in traditional scrapping goodies. :)}

He's really liking the piano... I loved these shots of him concentrating so hard. HeeHee. {With Val's Edward kit.}

Finally got to Week 2 of my project 365. I've been keeping the photos organized and uploaded to flickr, but haven't been really good about getting the layouts together. I'm really not that worried about it though. I decided to go with an 8.5x11 format, so that I can do them as digi, hybrid or traditional layouts. This one is using Valorie's Project 365 templates and Alice kit.

With Valorie's Emmett kit.
Last, but not least, I really am loving Dianne's new kit over at Scrapartist. This is actually hybrid. It's got a few traditional goodies on there...

This week I'll be working on more traditional stuffs - hopefully I'll have time to post again! LOL.

Have a great Monday!

Wow! Time Flies!

It's been a busy week around here!! I've been juggling multiple projects, the homeschooling, laundry, keeping the family fed, and to top things off, poor D came down with the croupe. Yuck! Night up with that terrible barking cough... Last night was much better than the night before, though!

I'm finally able to start sharing some of the things I've been working on for a while! The lovely owner of The Paper Niche asked if I'd be interested in putting together a monthly kit for her, and it's been so much fun to work on! She's been so open to my vision for things, and I've had the opportunity to put together and order products that are hard to find... how awesome is that? The kits will range in price from $25-$30, and include unique, coordinated, {and hard to find/handmade}items... stay tuned - they'll go on sale on the 15th!

Here's a peek at some of the layouts I put together with the kit:

Be sure to stop by Maryangella and Melissa's blogs to see their sneak peeks!

Oh, one more thing...

A hybrid card made with Sabrina Dupree's Sweet Love kit at FPD. :)

Happy Wednesday!! Stay warm!! :)

Warning: Catch up post ahead!!

I can not believe it... It's only been 3 days since I last posted, but with all we've done, it feels like a week's gone by. At the same time, I'm wondering where the week went? Hello confusing, but I think you know what I mean... :D

Making holiday treats:

Symmetrical paintings for math class:

Yes, mommy and e had to join in on the fun...

A couple of new advent cards...

Just a note to explain that the same supplies keep popping up because:
a.)I'm not buying every Christmas line released this year so I can make a different looking card each day {although, I think I've already purchased some from each Fancypants, Scenic route, making memories & American Crafts... I'm sure they'll be happy to know that I've supported them during these lean times. LOL.}
b.)being just a tad bit busy this time of year, the same supplies are usually laying out on my table from the day before. ;)

A layout just for fun, 'cause I came across these photos when I was digging for something else the other day. I don't print all of my photos anymore, I search through, sift out, and choose the best from the shots... this was also before I even knewe how to open photoshop, let alone use it!

finally got around to the old Christmas card:

Jaime Young helped that along tremendously. This is one of her premade cards that I just had to drop the photo into and send to the printer. Of course I added the cardstock and patterned paper...

A couple of digi layouts with some new stuff from the playground! :)

And 'cause I love the Totally Eclectic kit so much, I also did a hybrid layout with it, and some sassafrass lass...
